This volume, which completes Father Torrell's biography of Aquinas, focuses on a relatively overlooked aspect of the Dominican's theology, his spirituality. This is a highly-specialised and in-depth analysis of that side of Aquinas which not only qualified him to be one of the great intellects of the Middle Ages but also a saint.
