Marilyn Grimes, a 45-year-old woman who is suffering from a midlife crisis and searching for new frontiers or a place to leap, must deal with her three children who have left the nest; her boring engineer husband, Leon, who is in a career crisis and apparently philandering; and her mother, who may be developing Alzheimer's.
