The data are stored in the traditional form of number of cases by sex, five-year age group, and cancer (no individual records). They are recorded as text files in Comma-Separated-Value (CSV) format and can easily be incorporated into statistical packages for further analysis. The detailed description of the cancer (including morphological sub-types) and the registry dictionaries are provided in the leaflet together with the file layout.

In addition, the CD-ROM contains two Windows-based software programs with basic tabulation and graphic capabilities. Using these programs, summary rates (crude, age-standardized and cumulative) can be calculated over any chosen age-range. They also permit aggregation of both cancer sites and populations.
