Richard Meier was born in Newark, New Jersey, in 1934 and received his architectural training at Cornell University. He opened his private practice in 1963 and has taught at universities including Pratt Institute, Cooper Union, and Yale. His works have won international recognition. Over the years Richard Meier has received many awards, including the 1984 Pritzker Prize and the Royal Gold Medal from the Royal Institute of British Architects. This volume features 10 of Richard Meier’s masterworks, including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona, the Getty Center, and the Hypolux Bank building.
