Amazon.com description: Product Description: [Read by Anthony Wren]

Eugenia Dovedale's father had been High Steward to the Marquis of Buckbury, and after his unexpected death, Eugenia was forced to leave the estate. She and her mother now live uncomfortably with her great aunt Cloris in London, as they cannot afford to live anywhere else. When Mrs. Dovedale is injured in a coach accident, the Marquis invites her and Eugenia to stay at Buckbury Abbey to recover. The Marquis' admiration for Eugenia intensifies, but Eugenia's heart longs for Gregor Brodosky, a Russian painter. Eugenia's life becomes more and more distraught and confusing when Gregor arrives at Buckbury to paint her a portrait.
