Amazon.com description: Product Description: David, knowing that the secession of Southern States from the Union would lead to Civil War, hopes that the newly elected Abraham Lincoln can restore the United States. To keep up with the changing economy, David converts his farm to dairy farming and makes it profitable. Hearing that his mercenary, Joseph Cullin, is sent to Gettysburg as part of the Pennsylvania, 103rd Militia, just the day before Joseph's enlistment expires, David goes in search of Joseph on July 2nd, 1863. He meets both Confederate and Union soldiers before finding Joseph and securing his release. He and Joseph go to Philadelphia to see the funeral train of the slain President. And at the war's end, Joseph returns to practice law and David to his family and the dairy farm.
