Here is the long-awaited second volume of David Grisman's mandolin/guitar conversations. This time, versatile jazz guitarist Martin Taylor collaborates with Grisman, taking frequent solo flights on classic standards. Over the past 25 years or so, Grisman has developed a style of mandolin music called "dawg" music, after his nickname. The tunes in this collection, taken from the CD of the same name, are presented in order of difficulty. The slower the tunes feature more of David's tremolo technique. As the tunes progress from a slow to moderate tempo, more of David's signature licks and technique appear. Performance notes for each piece are included. Written in notation and tablature. Two tunes from the CD are not in either companion book: Unforgettable and Here's That Rainy Day.
