The most significant change in the Seventh Edition deals with the revolution in Confrontation Clause jurisprudence occasioned by the Supreme Court's decisions in Crawford v. Washington (2004) and Davis v. Washington (2006). The confrontation section of the book in Chapter 13 is completely revised and substantially expanded. Extensive notes describe the operation of the earlier system of confrontation analysis, the immediate impact, and the areas of continuing uncertainty under Crawford and Davis. The new edition also continues the trend in the Sixth Edition, which dramatically revamped the book's treatment of scientific evidence, and includes a number of new cases and notes regarding scientific evidence because of the dynamic nature of that particular area of evidence law.

The innovative module structure allows instructors to focus on specific skills and provides greater flexibility for short courses and different teaching approaches. While grounded in solid business communication fundamentals, this paperback takes a strong workplace activity orientation which helps students connect what they learn to what they do or will do on the job..

Questions of evidence and proof are fundamental to the operation of substantive law and to our understanding of law as a social practice. The study of evidence involves issues of central concern to feminist scholars, including matters of epistemology, psychology, allocation of risk and responsibility. Debates about evidence, like debates about feminism, involve questioning ideas of rationality and truth, as well as claims to knowledge both by and about men and women. Social constructions of gender are reflected both explicitly and implicitly in evidential rules and in the way in which evidence is received and understood by judges, jurors and magistrates. Feminist evidence scholarship is a relatively new but rapidly developing field. This collection brings together previously unpublished work by feminist legal scholars from different jurisdictions. In these essays, they explore the contributions of feminist theory and methodology to the understanding of the law of evidence.

The most pervasive change in this volume is the addition of new text, some of it reflecting new issues and developments, but most of it consisting of attempts to explain enduring issues of evidentiary law. Problems have been changed less than the text. The legal landscape is in constant flux, but most of the evidentiary problems that courts must face change far more slowly than do the doctrines used to address those problems. The text is designed for a four-credit course.

This book sets out the rules of evidence, as they apply in Australian courts, in a manner designed to be highly accessible and readily comprehensible. Equal treatment is given to both the uniform evidence legislation - now applicable in Federal Courts and in the courts of the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales and Tasmania - and the common law that applies in the remaining Australian jurisdictions. This edition has been completely rewritten to take account of major case law and statutory developments since the first edition.  It details the key divergences and convergences in the law of evidence across Australia and addresses a number of significant international comparisons. Examples are used throughout the text to illustrate the practical application of the law, while diagrams graphically summarise complex legal issues.

Part of the market-leading Graphing Approach Series by Larson, Hostetler, and Edwards, PRECALCULUS FUNCTIONS AND GRAPHS: A GRAPHING APPROACH, 5/e, is an ideal student and instructor resource for courses that require the use of a graphing calculator. The quality and quantity of the exercises, combined with interesting applications and innovative resources, make teaching easier and help students succeed. In addition, prerequisite skills review exercises in Eduspace are referenced in every exercise set. The Larson team achieves accessibility through careful writing and design, including examples with detailed solutions that begin and end on the same page, which maximizes the readability of the text. Similarly, side-by-side solutions show algebraic, graphical, and numerical representations of the mathematics and support a variety of learning styles.
