As he works through his often difficult relationships with his single mother, distant twin sister, his first boyfriend, and an odd assortment of friends, a teenage boy learns about the wounds and healing brought by love.

While out on a test run to demonstrate his skill and strength, Mr. Moose crashes into young Billy's house and injures his leg, but while waiting for Father Christmas to come and get him, Mr. Moose finally gets his chance to shine as Billy and his entire family eagerly listen to all his stories about his special life way up on the North Pole.
