In this investigation Dr. Miller identifies the economic malaise at the roots of problems that doctors cannot cure with drugs of surgery. Dr. Miller, and international authority on diseases of the heart, indicts the Welfare State as having failed to equalise people's life-changes. On average, low-income earners die 5 to 8 years earlier than the rich: an outrage which can be remedied only if policy-makers adopt property and fiscal policies fair to everyone. How this can be achieved is spelt out in this controversial book.
