This book is adopted from the authors' evidence treatise that was prepared for lawyers who practice primarily in California state and federal courts. Because this book is intended as a teaching instrument some treatise sections have been expanded, others collapsed or eliminated, and many citations to authority have been deleted. Citations to cases discussed in the text have been retained. In addition, most rules discussed in the text have been retained. Most discussion is devoted to the policies and concepts underlying the rules.

Evangelical theology is a burgeoning field.
