It was then a member of the KUGB (Karate Union of Great Britain) that gave him the opportunity to train with Sensei Enoeda. He left KUGB when Sensi Asano started SKI so he could continue to train with Sensi Shiro Asano. He trained under Sensei Asano for about 18 years. In 1986 he joined Sensei Aiden Trimble's (A Kata and Kumite legend) Federation of Shotokan Karate (FSK) at its inception.
