But with the help of her best friends Emilu Voigtlander and Shin Barnack, Asuna trains vigorously on her own in simulation rooms and does physical training. During her self-training, Asuna reveals to Shin that she was given high expectations from her father even before she was born. Asuna's father was a former professor at the National Defense University, but was expelled from it, and he is now in a foreign country in hiding. Meanwhile, Professor Forma has been secretly observing Asuna and the other students to report back to an organization called the "council."
