Summaries and Reviews
Amazon.com description: Product Description: **Reflections on Life, Love and Dogs is fiction, based on realistic life events.
It's a different kind of world that we live in, isn't it?  Generations ago, things were different. Houses were different, people were different and our priorities were different.
In some instances, life was simpler.
We knew what to expect.  In other ways, it may have seemed more difficult.
On the surface, it appeared that everyone had the same goals--get married, raise a family and eventually live the American dream.
The key word was family.  Most, if not all people, wanted to raise a family.  They wanted children and lots of them.
These days, while many couples still have offspring of the human kind, more and more people refer to their dogs as their babies, including me.
The love of dogs.  Is there anything like it in the world?  There's a great deal to be said for a companion that loves you regardless of your shortcomings, and let's face it, we all have some.
Unfortunately, none of us are perfect.
It's safe to say that our love and respect for dogs has increased throughout the years and some of society is noticing these lovable animals as our "children" and not "just dogs."
We've come a long way, haven't we?  It's been a fruitful journey and even though there has been notable change, we still have a long way to go.
Yes, it's true.  We still need to fight for animal rights, animal safety and care.  We still need to concentrate on improving the laws to protect animals so that animal abuse and negligence is taken seriously, and so is the punishment for anyone who abuses an animal.  We still need to close down dog-fighting facilities and make sure that new ones do not open up.
Just as importantly, we need to close down puppy mills and make sure those horrendous operations don't ever breed another dog.
Dogs don't have a voice, but we do, and the more we speak for them, the better off they'll be.
I have admired, loved and cherished dogs from back as far as I can remember.  Their innocence amazes me.  Their loyalty is something that astonishes me.  All dogs have their own personalities and no two are alike.  They are not only lovable and adorable.  To me, they are our friends.  They are our companions.  Without a doubt, they are our children.
I'm writing this authors' note as a special thanks for purchasing this book as I will be donating a portion of the proceeds to animal rescue.
So now that you know who I am and what I'm all about, I'm happy to present to you  Reflections on Life, Love and Dogs.  As one would guess, it's a book about dogs, their lives, and their world.  A book for those who love them.  For those who cherish them.  And for those who enjoy the companionship and love that they provide to us.
But it's so much more. It's about living in the moment.   It's about dogs, life, living, not living and the impacts of death.
After all, You don't need to be dead to stop living and you don't need to be undead to become a zombie.
We can be the person who chases their dreams and lives their life to the fullest, or a person who ridicules the lives of others while failing to live their own.
It's our choice.
