Eleven-year-old Anne Shirley has spent most of her life in an orphanage with her imagination as her companion, but that is all about to change—she is going to be adopted. Anne travels to Green Gables farmhouse in the little village of Avonlea to live with Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, quickly integrates herself into their family, and becomes friends with many people from the town. But Anne soon finds that having a family comes with more rules than she expected, and she can t seem to stay out of trouble.
